About Ben
After I completed my undergraduate studies at Ohio University, I set out to combine my expertise in emerging biotechnology fields like next-generation sequencing and viral gene therapy with life sciences visualization at the University of Illinois at Chicago’s Biomedical Visualization program.
While there, I have applied my aptitude for new technologies to excel in animation, AR, VR, and interactive experience design. I have contributed to outstanding team projects, including an award winning piece for the Vesalius Trust-A-Thon competition, and a People’s Choice award winning project for the Health Tech Jam competition. I have directed several professional projects, including a two minute promotional animation for a biotechnology startup led by a Northwestern University researcher. I have also developed healthcare communication pieces such as a patient education module used by a lifestyle medicine clinic in rural Ohio.
In my free time you can find me climbing rocks or riding my bicycle, or even riding a bicycle to a rock I want to climb.
